First one last

Here is the fifth of the five required slab projects made by using the same basic pattern as a base. There were supposed to be two of these pieces with cylinders running between them representing a crankshaft. One piece broke which could have been repaired but time ran out and I salvaged what I could. The cylinders can be seen in the final projects as nice little pedastals. Ilike the pattern that the "bondo cheesegrater" type rasp made in the clay. I wish I had applied a thicker coat of glaze but sometimes less is better. You dont want the glaze to run down and seize your piece to the kiln. That is bad. But over all it is a fair piece of sculpture. I can even see it inverted serving as a plalnter.
